Lent

The season of Lent is a six-week period of penance before Easter. Lent is a 40 day season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends at sundown on Holy Thursday. It's a period of preparation to celebrate the Lord's Resurrection at Easter. During Lent, we seek the Lord in prayer by reading Sacred Scripture; we serve by giving alms; and we practice self-control through fasting. We are called not only to abstain from luxuries during Lent, but to a true inner conversion of heart as we seek to follow Christ's will more faithfully. We recall the waters of baptism in which we were also baptized into Christ's death, died to sin and evil, and began new life in Christ (usccb.org).

    • 5:30 pm to 6:55 pm
    • In the Parish Hall followed by the Stations of the Cross
    • $15 for adults (2 filets), $10 for kids (1 filet), and $40 for families

  • Stations of the Cross offered weekly on Fridays at 7:00pm

    • March 24th: “Life Teen Stations of the Cross”

    • March 31st: “Jesus Way of the Cross” by Pope Francis

    • April 7th: Good Friday Stations will be at 3 pm “Stations with John Paul II”

      • Good Friday Service at  6:30 pm

  • Confessions during Lent will be offered on Fridays 6pm – 7pm prior to Stations of the Cross, on Saturdays from 3pm-4pm or by appointment – call or email Fr. Brad
