Audio Ministry

The Audio Minister’s primary responsibility is operating the sound board, located in the sound booth at the back of the church.  The Audio Minister must be knowledgeable about the interconnections between all sound input devices and the board, and how adjustments to the board affect the sound throughout the church. The minister works closely with the music group to adjust the levels of each microphone and musical instrument channel to the liking of the band through the monitor speakers through which the musicians hear themselves. Furthermore, the Audio Minister works with the priest and or deacons to ensure that their mobile microphones are operating properly and are adjusted to reproduce voices accurately. In addition, the minister must constantly make adjustments throughout the Mass to compensate for sound discrepancies caused by feedback, changes in voice volume, and occasionally occurring anomalies in the system.

We are a small ministry and are always looking for volunteers to help. Because of the equipment, we look for ministers who are at least 16 years old and technically astute. Training will be provided.  Questions about about the Audio Ministry?  Email [email protected]
