ConfirmationConfirmation is the second sacrament of initiation and is the full outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The preparation for Confirmation here at Our Lady of the Pines aims at leading the Confirmand toward a more intimate union with Christ and a greater familiarity with the Holy Spirit. Our young people receiving confirmation have a sense of belonging to the Church – both the universal Church and the parish community. Confirmation is a two-year process offered to students in Senior High (15 and older) that have been catechized to grade level and are ready to affirm their faith. Students must be enrolled and attending Youth Formation. In addition, there are sessions both the student and their sponsors must attend throughout the year and students must also attend a Confirmation retreat offered by the parish. |
