ANGELIC WARRIORS Our group is dedicated to serving the liturgy
using various music genres. We sing everything from Latin chant, Breaking Bread
or Praise and Worship. Most of what we do sing is from Breaking Bread. Our group
is not very large, but a load of fun! 18 years or older for this group.
CORNERSTONE
is a six-member band whose distinctive sound is rooted in guitar-friendly, original
arrangements of traditional as well as popular praise music with complex vocal harmonies.
We are blessed to serve in music ministry at Our Lady of the Pines, as well as evangelizing
and ministering to the faithful through music whenever and wherever we are called.
In addition to our ministry at OLP, we bring the word of God to coffee houses, weddings,
worship events, funerals, other local churches, shopping malls—anywhere we
can. In August 2008 we release our first CD entitled, “Delivered”. We
are grateful to worship with you in living out our mission to bring glory and honor
to God the Father, from whom all good things come, to the Holy Spirit, who gives
us grace to carry on, and to the son, Jesus Christ, for whom the words were written:
"The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. By the Lord has
this been done; it is wonderful in our eyes. This is the day the Lord has made;
let us be glad and rejoice in it." --Psalm 118:22-24
GENERATIONS Generations Music Ministry is a family-based music
group which leads the liturgy music on the first Saturday of every month. Generations
is comprised of families, some even including three generations… child, parent,
and grandparent. Through a combination of traditional and contemporary music, Generations
shares the beauty of liturgical music with the OLP community.
HEART OF WORSHIP is a group of Christ-centered singers,
instrumentalists and all-around Praise & Worship enthusiasts devoted to providing
music to accompany liturgies of all kinds at Our Lady of the Pines. We provide a
balance of contemporary, standard and choral music that touches the hearts of all
ages, incorporating four-part harmony, Latin chant, a cappella, and contemporary
styling. Our musical sound is supported by drums, guitar, keyboards and a variety
of stringed instruments as available.
SPIRIT OF GRACE Grace is a welcoming and well established traditional
choir that includes 4-part harmonizing, fellowship and a group of dedicated individuals
who love to greet the day in song and praise.
SUNDAY EVENING YOUTH CHOIR This choir supports the OLP 6-12 grade
youth program and Sunday evening masses each month during the program year from
mid September through April, including a special Confirmation Mass with the Bishop.
We focus on contemporary and traditional songs that enhance and support the liturgy
using fun and up-tempo arrangements. Practices typically are on Sunday afternoons
prior to the start of scheduled youth program activities.
V2 ALIVE is a small choral group of musicians dedicated to serving
the liturgy in their music ministry as influenced by the music changes brought about
at the Second Vatican Council. These musicians are accompanied by piano, guitar
and flute and concentrate on providing a diverse repertoire ranging from traditional
to contemporary selections with an emphasis on inviting the congregation to fully
participate in the mass through their selection of songs.
