Formation

Adult Formation is offered in many different formats. There are monthy sessions, special seasonal sessions and Bible Studies. All adults are welcome to attend any of the sessions.

Elementary Formation supports families with children Pre-K to 5th grade. We enhance the relationship and experiences with Christ and the catholic faith, already taking place in our families and faith community. We offer two different formats: a tradional classroom setting and a once a month Family-Based program.

Youth Formation and Activities supports families with children 6th - 12th grade. We help families in bringing youth to a better understanding of their faith. Through formation, retreats, service projects, fun activities, music, and worship, we hope to enhance the faith experiences of both our youth and their families.

Remembering Church is a program for individuals or families returning to the Catholic faith after a period of absence. Adults and children who have missed sacraments or have been out of touch with their faith for several years can be caught up on church teachings, beliefs, worship, history, theology and traditions. These adults and children are often worked with on an individual basis and sometimes in a class setting. We have trained catechists that give many hours to help these persons grow further in their relationship with Christ.

Have you been away from us for a long time? Do you have questions about changes in the Church?

If you are interested in this process, please contact Vickie Welsh at 495-2351.

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is a process for those who are seeking a better understanding or who wish to enter the Catholic Faith. RCIA meets on a regular basis beginning in the fall and continues on a more intense schedule through the Easter season. It will answer any questions there may be about church teachings, beliefs, worship, history, theology and traditions.

There is also an RCIA process for children who wish to enter the Catholic faith. We work with them in a class setting on their level. We also work with families on an individual basis so we can better meet their needs.

Our RCIA team is made up of trained catechists that work with the candidates one on one and in a large group. These catechists are the heart of this process and give many ours of their time and share their knowledge, talents, and faith openly and lovingly.
